Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Bookaster, operated by Bookaster (Casablanca, Morocco).
Last updated: 29 July 2026
1. The service
Bookaster is a software-as-a-service platform that lets appointment-based businesses — salons, barbershops, clinics, gyms, restaurants, garages and similar — publish an online booking page, manage a staff calendar and customer records, and send automated appointment confirmations, reminders and review requests to their own customers by WhatsApp and email. The service is delivered over the internet; there is no physical product.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for the staff users you invite. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract on behalf of your business. We may suspend accounts used unlawfully or in breach of these terms.
3. Subscriptions, billing and trials
- New accounts start with a free trial. No payment method is required to begin.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on our pricing page.
- Billing is currently arranged directly with us — contact contact@bookaster.com to activate a paid plan. We will name our payment provider here once one is in place, and any tax due will be shown on your invoice.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; you keep access until then.
- Refunds are described in our refund policy (14-day money-back on a first payment).
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Continuing to use a paid plan after that means you accept the new price.
4. Your data and your customers' data
You keep ownership of everything you put into Bookaster, including your customer records, appointments and messages. We process that data on your instructions to provide the service — see our privacy policy. For personal data of your own customers, you are the data controller and we act as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store their details and to message them.
5. Messaging and acceptable use
Bookaster sends transactional messages — booking confirmations, reminders, queue updates and post-visit review requests — to people who have booked with your business. You agree that you will not use the service to send unsolicited bulk messages, and that you will comply with WhatsApp's and your local rules on electronic communications. You must not use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, send malware, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems. Connecting a WhatsApp number is subject to WhatsApp's own terms; we do not control and are not responsible for their platform decisions, including number restrictions.
6. Availability
We work to keep Bookaster available and take regular backups, but the service is provided without a guaranteed uptime commitment unless separately agreed in writing. We may perform maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. Where a change is material and negative, we will give reasonable notice.
7. Third-party services
Bookaster relies on third parties, including WhatsApp for messaging and an email delivery provider. Their outages or policy changes can affect the service. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of those providers.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookaster is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost bookings or lost data. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that we are legally required to stop serving. On termination you can export your data for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; we will post the new version here and update the date above, and notify you by email of material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, and the courts of Morocco have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have locally.
